How rankings work: Results rank highest to lowest by percentage, rounded to one decimal. Equal percentages share a rank; tied entries appear alphabetically. Select a county to rank districts and schools within that county, or All of California for statewide ranks. Search by name or CDS code to find a district or school while preserving its rank among all eligible results in the selected area. Select a name to explore its dashboard. These filters are independent of the dashboard's geography filters.

School types: Charter and continuation school filters can be combined. Classifications use the CDE School Directory export supplied October 23, 2026, matched by CDS code, for every reporting year; historical classifications may differ. Continuation schools are those tagged Continuation School in the directory, such as Green Valley High in Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified. Other alternative education programs are separate classifications and remain included when excluding continuation schools. This is a directory program classification, not a DASS designation. Schools missing a classification required by an active filter are excluded. With school-type filters active, county totals and reporting-school coverage use only matching schools; published district rankings are hidden.

Overall readiness uses the combined graduation cohort. Individual indicators use students in the selected readiness level, matching Explore the Measures. Counts can overlap across indicators. Minimum cohort applies to the combined graduation cohort, not the measure denominator.

Districts and schools use published records. Suppressed or unavailable results are excluded; reported zeros remain valid. No reported results means no ranking. A district or school may be absent because its result is unavailable for the selected indicator and year, or its cohort is below the selected minimum.

County rankings appear when All of California is selected. County rates use combined counts from schools reporting numeric results and a positive denominator for the selected indicator. Excluded schools contribute to neither numerator nor denominator; reporting schools / total schools shows coverage. Coverage can vary by year and indicator. These derived county summaries are not official county accountability ratings.
